Four countries and four capitals in a single week — Serbia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Albania — travelling from Belgrade to Sofia, Skopje and Tirana with a small group and an expert guide.

This one-week journey is the easiest way to sample the best of the Balkans. Starting in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, you trace a route south through Sofia, Skopje and Tirana, crossing four countries and pausing at the region's headline sights along the way — the hilltop fortress and the vast Temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade, the mountain monastery of Rila, the emerald gorge of Matka Canyon and the churches and cobbled old town of lakeside Ohrid. You travel in a small group of no more than fifteen, with an English-speaking guide, comfortable hotels and all the driving taken care of.
